Irene Victoriana Gumbs 23 maart 1950 - 5 januari 2011
Geschokt en diep bedroefd zijn wij door het plotselinge overlijden van Irene Gumbs, directeur van het Overlegorgaan Caribische Nederlanders (OCaN). Wij hebben Irene leren kennen als iemand die zeer betrokken was bij de Caribisch-Nederlandse gemeenschap en die zich met grote toewijding heeft ingezet voor de positieverbetering van nos hendenan.
Wij zijn haar dankbaar voor alles wat ze voor OCaN en de Caribisch-Nederlandse gemeenschap in Nederland heeft gedaan. Ons medeleven gaat uit naar Raïssa en alle andere familieleden.

Irene Victoriana Gumbs 23 March 1950 - 5 January 2011
We learned with great regret the sudden death of Ms. Irene Gumbs, Director of Stichting Overlegorgaan Caribische Nederlanders (OCaN).
Irene was a prominent figure within the Dutch Caribbean community and within the foundation. She was deeply involved within the community and worked with great dedication and devotion in promoting the advancement of our people “nos hendenan”. We are grateful for everything that Irene has done for OCaN and the Dutch-Caribbean community in the Netherlands. She will be sorely missed by us all. Our sincere condolences go out to her daughter Raïssa and the rest of her family..
Condolence and last farewell will take place on Monday January 10, 2011,
at Uitvaartcentrum Bergweg,
Bergweg 287 , 3037 EN,
Rotterdam from 19.00 until 20.00.

Funeral service and burial will take place on Tuesday, January 11, 2011,
at Algemene Begraafplaats Crooswijk,
