General Manager
The position: General Manager
As General Manager, you will ensure the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of a diverse rental and lease fleet across three established global rental brands. You will actively participate in the daily operations and oversee staff performance, maximize fleet utilization and enhance experiences of a car rental business which welcomes its customers 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
Your key responsibilities will include participating in – and overseeing of the operations of the entire car rental & lease fleet, ensuring its maintenance, timely repairs, cleanliness and availability. You will implement efficient vehicle distribution and allocation strategies to meet customer demand and maximize revenue while proposing and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
You will develop and guide a team of rental agents and support staff and effectively schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods. You are also responsible to motivate and coach team members to deliver excellent customer service, all while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
Operational excellence is another critical aspect of this role, where you will implement and maintain operational standards and procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency. You will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as rental rates, utilization, and customer satisfaction, while identifying process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs. Developing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, staying informed about industry trends and best practices, and conducting market analysis to determine the competitive position of the company will also be essential.
The goal is to ensure that all customers receive a positive and memorable experience. Ensuring prompt resolution of customer complaints and monitoring customer satisfaction surveys (NPS score) to analyze feedback for areas of improvement.
Your profile
We are seeking candidates who ideally hold a bachelor's degree or possess equivalent experience gained through professional roles, along with a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in an operational management position. Experience within the field of the car rental industry is considered a great advantage. You must demonstrate a proven ability to actively lead by example and motivate team members successfully, complemented by excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch, Papiamentu or Spanish being a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also an important competency. Furthermore, you should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Being proactive, detail-oriented and highly organized is essential, along with a genuine passion for customer service.
Operations Manager
The position: Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager you will actively participate in – and oversee our rental operations at Luxury Car Rental N.V This hands-on leadership role is crucial for ensuring the efficient execution of daily operations while providing an exceptional customer experience. You will work closely with the General Manager, supervising rental agents, lot personnel, and maintenance teams, and will be actively engaged in all aspects of the business which welcomes its customers 7 days a week, 365 days per year.
Your key responsibilities will include actively leading daily rental operations, ensuring smooth transactions and optimized fleet allocation while overseeing vehicle preparation and coordinating with service and maintenance teams. You will support customer interactions by addressing complaints and ensuring service excellence, actively engaging in operational tasks and leading by example during peak hours. Additionally, you will manage and develop staff and ensure adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
Your profile
The ideal candidate must have professional and intellectual capabilities at the academic or Bachelor level and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in operations management, preferably within the car rental, hospitality, or transportation sectors. You should possess strong leadership abilities coupled with proven problem-solving skills. You must demonstrate the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing demands, alongside excellent communication and customer service skills, with in English and Dutch, Papiamentu or Spanish being a plus. Along with a demonstrated capability to manage a fast-paced and physically active environment.
