• Managing Director Automotive, and
• Managing Director Retail/Wholesale
The position
The role of Managing Director has, until now, been held by a single individual. The current Managing Director/CEO will retire somewhere next year, and as the company continues to expand and evolve the role has been restructured to better align with the strategic vision and enhance the operational effectiveness. The position will now be divided into two distinct roles: One Managing Director will be responsible for the Automotive enterprises; car sales, repairs and car rentals. And the other Managing Director will be responsible for the Retail/Wholesale/Production/Services enterprises. This change reflects the commitment to create specialized leadership that can drive innovation and support our ambitious growth objectives.
As the Managing Director of the Automotive or the Retail/Wholesale/Production/Services enterprises, you will oversee and collaborate with the management teams of the operating companies to lead various Jolley Holding enterprises. This important position demands a strong leader who exemplifies seniority and possesses exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for reporting results, achievements, and the effectiveness of the overall strategic organizational goals to the Supervisory Board and shareholders.
In this role, you will take charge of business development and oversee the implementation and monitoring of strategic policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth by Jolley Holding and Supervisory Board. You will also engage with the daily operations of various enterprises. Your decisions will be grounded in informed management and leadership principles.
As a leader, your responsibility will be to inspire and foster a collaborative team environment while actively engaging with diverse stakeholders to drive business success. An entrepreneurial spirit is essential, as is a commitment to immersing yourself in both traditional holding functions and the daily operations of the operating companies. An understanding of financial principles is vital, including the ability to read and interpret annual accounts and financial statements. Ultimately, you will be tasked with achieving strategic objectives that enhance the company's profitability and growth.
Your profile
You have a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience. Either with at least 7 years of entrepreneurial experience or 5 years' experience in an executive management position, preferably in the Automotive or Retail/Wholesale industry. Experience with acquisitions is desired. We are looking for a candidate with a hands-on approach and strong leadership capabilities, demonstrated by a proven track record of guiding multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational and negotiation skills, enabling effective management of multiple teams simultaneously. A practical mindset is essential, as you will be responsible for driving and enhancing operations. It is crucial that you can confidently engage with the supervisory board while remaining approachable and communicative with employees at all levels, including those on the shop floor. Additionally, you must either currently reside in Aruba or be willing to relocate to the island within a short timeframe.
